Rotary kiln incineration facility consists of the following processes.
1) Pretreatment
Pretreatment is a very important process for the optimumn operation of incineration facilities. The waste from various sources must be sorted according to similar properties at pretreatment stage so that waste as uniform as possible is supplied to the incinerator. The supply of various types of unsorted material will cause trouble such as secondary pollution and shortening of the life of the facility.
2) Incineration
The Hengyang Industry rotary kiln can treat almost any type from solid to liquids, and the stable incineration is secured against the fluctuation in characteristics.
3) Exhaust Gas Treatment
The main problem of the combustion exhaust gas is the treatment of dust, nitrogen, chloride compounds and dioxin to prevent secondary pollution. This facility employ a system which lays a stress on reliability in removing the gases or making them harmless in compliance with the fluctuation of gas volume and composition.
4) Waste water Treatment
The waste water must undergo treatment for hydrogen in concentration (pH), chemical oxygen demand (COD), suspended solid (SS) and harmful substance.
This facility can treat completely by the use of neutralization, oxidation,
filtering and solid/liquid separation.

Waste Material Handling Principle
This rotary kiln consists of a tilted cylindrical shell which rotates around its longitudinal axis. Refuse enters the elevated end is mixed with air as it travel through the cylinder. Ash is discharged from the lower end of the kiln.

Rotary kiln can be either of the direct-fired type, or the indirect-fired type. In a direct-fired kiln, a fuel is burnt in the drum, and the material is processed through direct contact with the flue gas. In an indirect-fired kiln, material is processed in an inert environment, and is heated through contact with the shell of the kiln, which is heated from the outside to maintain an inert environment.
The shell of the kiln is made of mild steel plate. Mild steel is the only viable material for the purpose, but presents the problem that the maximum temperature of the feed inside the kiln is over 1400°C, while the gas temperatures reach 1900°C. The melting point of mild steel is around 1300°C, and it starts to weaken at 480°C, so considerable effort is required to protect the shell from overheating.
